The DSP (Delivery Service Partner) Offer & Expansion team is part of the Last Mile Product and Technology organization and is responsible for designing, launching, and managing the strategy of the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program around the world across all of its various use cases.
As a critical member of the actuarial team, this position as Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for driving our capabilities around pricing, performance drivers, and portfolio economics. You will work backwards from business problems to create actuarial modeling and solutions to define the pricing and structure of our global product offerings. Partnering with our single-threaded leader product leads, help to develop and build core processes to monitor market trends, competitors, and performance to optimize our products.
This position can sit in Seattle, WA or Nashville, TN.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelors Degree
– 3+ years of proven, technical experience in P&C Actuarial, preferably with exposure to small commercial
– Experience with core analytical software and relevant programming languages (e.g., R, SQL, SAS, VBA).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– ACAS/FCAS designation preferred
– Product filings and compliance matters (including preparing DOI submissions)
– Prior exposure to the technical aspects of the broader insurance business
– Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
– Written and verbal communication skills with senior executives and business
– Experience leading projects within a matrix organization
– Experience articulating trends and analysis of quantitative methods and data
– Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
