Sr Analyst/Associate Underwriter – Healthcare Finance

Overview

Opportunity to work for a top 20 Bank, with advancement opportunities both in the department and other functional areas of CIT and First Citizens Bank. The Sr Analyst/Associate Underwriter will support a team of junior and senior underwriters with assessing and approving transactions in the Healthcare Asset Based Lending and Real Estate space which includes senior housing and long-term care facilities. You will also work on several transactions, ad-hoc projects and, must be able to multi-task. This role will be preparing initial financial and business analysis as well as have the ability to develop due diligence questions.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • The candidate’s primary role is to support a team of junior and senior underwriters with assessing and approving transactions in the Healthcare Asset Based Lending and Real Estate space which includes senior housing and long-term care facilities.
  • The position requires a candidate to have strong analytical skills, who will need to work on several transactions, ad-hoc projects and be able to multi-task.
  • Prepare initial financial and business analysis as well as ability to develop due diligence questions.
  • Interact with Credit Management, Portfolio Management, Borrowers, Loan Operations and Closing teams and collaborate with peers.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is $95,000 to $105,000. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a priority preference for business, finance or accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and / or banking; current role in credit underwriting / portfolio management a plus

Other/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience in Healthcare Real Estate a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
