We are looking for a strategic, analytical Senior Business Analyst to join the Referrals & Cross-Sell channels in Small Business Card. SBC has undergone a transformational overhaul in recent years, building a best-in-class collection of credit offerings to help small businesses succeed. Referrals & Cross-Sell provide a unique opportunity to acquire high-value customers with whom we already have meaningful relationships and data, and these channels have been explicitly identified as key investment areas for that reason. We’ve already laid much of the groundwork to grow these channels, and now it is time to capitalize.

The right candidate will excel at identifying and prioritizing channel opportunities, executing a marketing strategy, partnering across the org to launch intent, and owning follow-up analysis to optimize performance. Autonomy and a strong results-focus are musts, with growth opportunities for demonstrated success. This position will allow you to truly step into the role of a channel owner, working with partners in credit, product, marketing, data science, and vertical teams to bring your initiatives to life. The team aims to move fast with a test-and-iterate philosophy, and strong analysts will push us in this regard.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
  • At least 1 year of experience in analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
  • 1+ years of experience in market research
  • 1+ years of experience in SQL querying
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis
  • 1+ years of experience in consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $112,400 – $128,300 for Sr. Business Analyst

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
