Sr. AWS Enterprise Sales Executive, State & Local Government, EDU & SLG – Verticals

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive to focus on State & Local Government with some of our key accounts. The ideal candidate has sales experience in this vertical with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. S/he should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. The Sales Executive will be an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling. S/he will must be able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and have very strong verbal and written communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

– Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory and industry vertical.

– Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.

– Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

– Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.

– Accelerate customer adoption.

– Maintain a robust sales pipeline.

– Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.

– Manage contract negotiations.

– Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

– Ensure customer satisfaction.

– Limited to moderate travel

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

– 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience

– Experience developing detailed go to market plans

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
