Our client is looking for a Strong Backend Engineer to join their mobile engineering team in Miami, FL or Dallas, TX. This person will be a key contributor in designing and building scalable applications and Microservices using Node.js and Next.js. The team is currently designing and building a mobile content management system with plans to potentially develop a web app version down the road as well. We are looking for someone with exposure to mobile and web apps and strong experience building Microservices and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. Your primary focus will be to architect and optimize the application for performance, scalability, and security but you will also assist with applying testing frameworks. Knowledge of front-end engineering will be helpful so you can collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate APIs and develop RESTful services.
Required Skills & Experience
At least 4 years of strong backend development experience
Strong Node.js & Next.js experience
Microservices & CI/CD Pipeline experience
Exposure to both mobile & web app development
Experience with testing frameworks (Jest or Mocha preferred)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Docker & Kubernetes experience heavily preferred
Experience building a Content Management System
Azure exposure
Front end development exposure (javascript, HTML, CC)
