GHD has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project BIM Coordinator / Revit – Civil 3D Designer to join our growing BIM group within the Engineering Design Organization (EDO). This position will be based out of our Phoenix, AZ or one of our Southern California offices (Irvine, Long Beach, San Diego, or Los Angles).

The Project BIM Coordinator / Revit – Civil 3D Designer will use their skills and technical knowledge to lead the production of quality models to meet client needs and requirements.

Responsibilities of the position will be but are not limited to:

  • Implementation of project/client software templates and standards
  • Ensure BIM (including Revit and AutoCAD) and other technical processes are integrated into project workflows and are followed
  • Audit models for model integrity compliance and report on outcomes
  • Coordinate and manage the project model and any linked drawing deliverables and documentation outputs
  • Coordinate and engage with Discipline Designers, Drafters, and Engineers
  • Supporting Discipline Leads in checking models for general good work habits and quality health checks
  • Provide assistance during tendering with proposals and submissions to define BIM scope, workflows, and plans on projects.
  • Responsible for compliance with technical design requirements, BIM Execution Plan (BEP) requirements, and customizing templates
  • Ensure/enforce spatial coordination (software interoperability)
  • Responsible for general model management, including coordination of models, model federation, clash detection, and helping to resolve any issues
  • Providing training, documentation, and assistance to the project team regarding BIM-related procedures and standards
  • Supporting BIM Leads and Designers to ensure effective and timely flow of project information and quality of deliverables
  • Confirming that the expected level of design requirements are met with each submittal
  • Provide design support for design and construction projects using Revit and Civil 3D
  • Provide design support for both 2D and 3D designs for piping systems, utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems and projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience working within BIM / Civil 3D projects
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in relevant field
  • Proficient software capabilities including but not limited to Revit, Navisworks, and Civil 3D
  • Sound knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) establishment and ongoing information management processes, systems, and information states (i.e. BIM 360 and ProjectWise)
  • Has a sound understanding of ISO 19650 compliant workflows and can lead others in this area
  • Has experience training and mentoring staff.
  • Has experience with creating standards.

Salary Range depending on location and experience: $74,000-$111,000
