Job Title: Business Analyst (Remote)
Job summary
– Preferred to have functional knowledge of Energy and Utility Domain.
– Should be able to create Business Requirement and Functional Requirement document independently.
– Create long-term and short-term plans based on inputs received from the programs key stakeholders.
– Able to document change requests and creating corresponding artifacts.
– Communicate with program key Stakeholders to keep the BRD updated and enhance based on changes.
– Effectively Interact with QA and UAT team for code testing and migrate to different regions.
– Must have written Business Requirement and Functional Requirement document in the past projects.
– Should have go understanding of Waterfall Scrum-based software development methodologies

Roles/Responsibilities
• Identify IT owners and Business team for the targeted system and conduct kick-off meetings.
• Document the outcome of the Kickoff meetings which gathers the data about data lineage and impact analysis.
• Interact with multiple cross-functional team in respect to data lineage and other aspects of requirements
• Provide technical oversight about the system complexity and guides the technical feasibility analysis done on the systems and document the technical requirements
• Identify an appropriate disposition method for the system via joint discussion with the Business and system owners
• Conduct stakeholder impact assessment by brainstorming with the IT SMEs of downstream systems and determine the business and technical impact on downstream systems due to disposition scope in source systems
• Collaborate with the Collibra team and IT Privacy analyst to upload the newly confirmed system data lineage information and data retention schedules into the Collibra tool
• Liaise with the Business owners to obtain the necessary approval before proceeding to the execution of disposition
• Work with IT SMEs of systems for execution and validation of data disposition in lower environment and then in production environment and report back to PG&E Governance Committee
• Document the findings, approvals and evidence on execution of data disposition in the system report
Job Location
Primary: San Francisco, CA (Willing to work in PST time zone)
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 – $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
