The Senior Buyer, as part of the global procurement team, is responsible for providing procurement services in support of the US – Mesa Labs production lines, maintenance support, and indirect materials required for the operation.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Procurement of raw materials to support product lines from direct suppliers who have been selected through the quality system process.
- Reorder point planning for all raw material in scope for designated product line.
- Manages costs to best applied standards and negotiates best cost solution while maintaining the best possible quality.
- Provides feedback on the performance of a supplier by monitoring on-time delivery, pricing, and quality expectations.
- Provides project management for tasks that require new product introduction activities, and new system data base tools.
- Ensures that Excel spreadsheets, drawings, Gerber files, and any other necessary information are provided to the supplier when asking them to provide a competitive quotation.
- Technical support and customer service resolutions when needed by a supplier.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management or related field. A combination of work experience and education in lieu of a degree.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPM) (CPIM) preferred
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
- 5 years practical project management skills in a procurement function.
- Demonstrated experience in being an individual contributor meeting expectations of assignments while working collaboratively within a global team of professionals.
- Advanced level of detail orientation while being flexible to adapt to changing needs of the business.
- Experience working across internal and external multi-functional teams
- Ability to self-manage personal productivity improvements and ensure team collaboration
- CRM/ERP (experience with NetSuite a plus)
- Effective communication skills, excellence in driving teamwork, humility, and ambition
- Ability to travel domestically if required
Compensation/Benefits:
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, bonus ,medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.
Salary Range for this position is $78,500-$93,000.
