As a Bell Captain with Westgate Resorts, you will act as an ambassador for the resort and assist with any elements for the Guest Services Department. The Guest Services Captain will supervise and ensure a smooth operation of all guest check-ins and check-outs and partner with other Front Office departments to resolve any guest situations and concerns.

Job Description

As Bell Captain, you will:

  • Ensures a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures for all guests.
  • Inspects the Guest Van that takes guests around the resort for any concerns or vehicle issues.
  • Ensures all materials and welcome packets are prepared and accurate and all phone messages by each Guest Service Representative are accurate and complete.
  • Coordinates with the support team members for daily tasks and reports and ensures the log book is up-to-date and accurate for daily check-ins.
  • Assists with the staffing of the Guest Services Department through the hiring, advising, training, coaching and disciplinary action and termination is necessary of all team members.
  • Assists with the scheduling of the Guest Services Department and continued training of all Guest Services Representatives.
  • Partners with other departments to resolve any guest situation or team member issues for the Front Office Departments.
  • Works in a team dynamic and assist others when necessary.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English conversationally. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Additional Information

  • Must be available to work weekends, all shifts
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year experience with a resort or hotel in a similar role.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to handle guest challenges effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Strong ability to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
