Overview
Our Sr. Concierge is responsible for providing an exceptional level of world-class service to all McCormick Place guests, clients, and partners at all events as the primary concierge for event and non-event coverage on the McCormick Place Campus. This position is responsible for oversight and management of part-time concierge staff. This role requires maintaining a positive attitude and service-oriented disposition.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $28 to $32.00.

Responsibilities
- Review event schedule, manage and schedule daily coverage plan for coverage for concierge station. Ensure the Event Operations Manager is aware of placement and needs to assist with developing a schedule for part-time coverage.
- Provide consistent, world-class hospitality at main concierge station with heaviest foot traffic on the campus on any given day.
- Proactively welcome and assist guests.
- Identify opportunities to create memorable experiences and lasting relationships with members and guests.
- Understand, retain, and communicate safety and security measures
- Display professional demeanor including positive body language and effective communication
- Works to resolve guests’ compliments and concerns in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures
- Assist guests with reasonable requests for accommodations, including but not limited to wheelchair escort services
- Conduct research on and provide personalized information to McCormick Place guest on local restaurants, night life and attractions.
- Reports any suspicious activity to supervisors and/or management
- Complete and submit related paperwork, as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least two (2) to four (4) years prior experience within a hospitality, sports, entertainment, or related field
- Experience in a high-profile customer service-based industry is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with and self-empowered in managing conflict and responding to guest problems with a sense of urgency and professionalism
- Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building, exposure to loud noises, and standing for long periods of time
- Proactive self-starter and able to work collaboratively
