Sr Consultant Relationship Manager (Remote)

As a Sr. Consultant Relationship Manager you will establish, strengthen and maintain relationships with consultants through proactive and ongoing contact with the goal of positioning our strategies for success in the institutional market. Incumbent is vital in managing the consultant relationship ensuring consultants understand the firm’s capabilities and investment philosophy. Additionally, communicates with sales, marketing, and investment professionals ensuring interactions occur with consultants in a manner that builds the firm’s visibility within the consultant community.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

  • Align Principal Asset Management investment strategies with the needs of the contacts within the investment consultant research community and field consultants to support our new business efforts and client retention.
  • Relationship management of global, national, and regional consulting firms to better understand their investment goals and promote our strategies.
  • Share market intelligence on key search trends and developments at targeted consulting firms.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or similar, plus 8+ years investment or related experience
  • FINRA licensing including the SIE or equivalent, series 7 and 63 required within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to find opportunities, strong project management skills, product knowledge, client service orientation, and the ability to view client’s situations analytically and holistically
  • Must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication and leadership skills
  • Most possess a proven record in demonstrating; relationship building, negotiation skills, and presentation skills
  • The incumbent will interact with affiliated and non-affiliated clients as well as interact with multiple levels of the firm’s management
  • Some travel required, up to 40-50%
  • This position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$174000 – $236000 / year
