JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Corporation is looking for a Senior Coordinator, Music Clearance & Licensing to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The Senior Coordinator leverages in-depth knowledge of publishing and recording rights, while providing comprehensive guidance to Fox Sports productions for music clearance and licensing services.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, develop, and maintain strong relationships with FOX Sports production teams, working proactively to assess their music needs, and provide budget estimates and alternative suggestions of music to fit within budget
- Review licenses and music cue sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with Fox Sports standards and policies
- Perform detailed research to determine copyright status and ownership of music being considered for use
- Negotiate clearance and license terms with music publishers, record companies, and administrators, based on current market value and industry standards
- Assist in maintaining a database of music cue sheets, clearances, licensing terms, payment, and related information for all requested music uses
- Work well in an environment where there is extensive interaction with production, digital, marketing, legal, and business affairs
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with strong client-support orientation (internal and external clients/customers)
- Creative collaboration across all FOX Sports platforms
- Assist with other department projects as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- An in-depth understanding of publishing and recording rights including, for example, writer / territory splits, samples, and side artists and the effect they have on clearance
- Knowledge and understanding of copyright (publishing & recording) as it relates to the music industry
- Established relationships with all major Publishing Companies, Record Labels, and Music Libraries, along with experience of clearance through other channels such as Management, Attorneys, Agents, Independent Labels & Publishers
- Familiarity with music license agreements and music cue sheets
- Strong proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to be fluid, and operate effectively under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with unwavering attention to detail
- Curious and eager to tackle additional projects as needed

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $32.69-34.86 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
