A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Senior Data Analysts partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement interactive dashboards and analyses that can make data and customer insights more easily available to non-technical stakeholders. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will use the combination of business operations data and customer feedback insights to help business units make informed decisions and scale their processes. You will also work with team members to implement and support the company’s business analytics objectives.
- Collaborates with stakeholders across Tandem’s business units to provide scalable reporting and analytics solutions to amplify the voice of the customer (VOC).
- Synthesizes and translates the combination of operational and customer feedback data into customer insights and communicates those insights to decision makers.
- Creates interactive dashboards and data reports following a disciplined development process.
- Provides ad-hoc analyses, written reports, and recommendations as needed.
- Develops a deep understanding of business, customer behavior, and operations, documenting findings throughout.
- Participates in problem definition and user needs elucidation with project teams and business process owners.
- Trains cross-functional stakeholders on data use and access.
- Helps the business measureoutcomes and user experience holistically.
- Uses data backed outcomes toidentify and prioritize opportunities that improve overall user experience and business outcomes.
- Enables non-technical stakeholders to quickly answer key questionsandmakebetter and faster decisionsthrough easy access to data and analytics tools.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a data dictionary to list and define customer feedback data.
- Analyzes the combination of customer feedback and organizational data to provide actionable insights on how to improve existing processes and experiences.
- Collaborates with and consults Data Science colleagues to assist with maintenance of data flow structures within the customer feedback software.
- Assists in incorporating data from multiple sources including product, ERP, CRM, and other business applications to present consolidated views of company data and customer feedback/experience.
- Assists with data modeling and data quality assurance.
- Provides end-user support for dashboard, report, and data troubleshooting.
- Proactively monitors and responds to any issues negatively affecting the CF solution.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
YOU’RE AWESOME AT:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced technical fundamentals and relevant experience
- Experience with SDLC, workflow processes, architecture, or on-the job technologies
- Domain knowledge
- Understand and communicate delivery tradeoffs (incremental development and delivery)
- Technical knowledge of database and reporting tools
- Experience performing data analyses using tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility to function in a fast paced and innovative environment.
- Skilled at working in a team environment.
- Ability to work with a team to deliver projects with general direction
- Ability to deliver sprint-level stories with little or no help, working individually and seeking help when blocked
- Ability to lead development tasks; code reviews, pull requests
- Ability to take on ambiguous stories/tasks
- Ability to participates in defining solutions based on user needs
- Ability to remain customer-focused and keep user needs in mind during development
- Experience with being involved in the development process end to end
- Ability to work on a ground up level project, designing and building new components of a full solution
- Reliable contributor to high-level projects and initiatives
- Ability to helps others with pair programming and doing code reviews
- Advanced statistical analysis skills (both qualitative and quantitative)
- Experience using social statistics (i.e., ANOVA, MANOVA, Repeated Measures, Multiple Regression, etc.)
Required:
- 5+ experience working as a data analyst.
- S. in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, data analytics field, etc. or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
EXTRA AWESOME:
- Experience creating interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with Qualtrics API
- Experience working with customer survey data is a strong plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $110,000 – $125,000annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
