Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Data Engineer, Sales & Service Analytics to join its growing Service Analytics team. This role will be crucial in developing the data landscape for the Service organization. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in developing data pipelines using workflow management/ETL tools, comfortable working with the systems team to develop and implement ETL pipelines for data extraction and have a passion for building data infrastructure. The Role
- Work with the BI/Data Analysts in Service Analytics to understand their data needs and develop datasets/table views for their consumption.
- Build the data infrastructure for Service Operations – collaborate with the team to develop a consistent and reliable DataMart.
- Work with systems team to understand the business systems in use, develop and implement strategy to extract, and load data into the data warehouse.
- Work with the business to identify opportunities to automate data and information flows and optimize the same.
- Closely monitor the health of data pipelines, develop contingency plans for failures
- Take ownership of quality and reliability of data pipelines and data objects (tables/views) that you develop.
- Develop and implement best practices for data engineering (e.g., code reviews, data integrity and reliability, code documentation)
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, building and maintaining ETL data pipelines, extracting data from source business systems (such as Salesforce), and developing data warehousing solutions for the organization or business units.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field of study
- Must have advanced working knowledge of SQL, experience in multiple database applications, and optimizing queries and databases for performance.
- Ability to understand database schema of business systems and create data workflow plans to extract and load data into a warehouse.
- Experience in troubleshooting data pipelines/workflows and applying fixes to restore workflows and backfill data.
- Highly proficient in SQL, Python, ETL tools – experience in Airflow preferred.
- Must be familiar with using collaboration tools (Git repositories, JIRA version control, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education, and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
• California San Francisco Bay Area – $127,000-$181,500 per year
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
