Sr DataCenter Infrastructure Performance Manager, Infrastructure Performance Management

The Infrastructure Performance Management team is looking for a strong candidate to manage multiple relationships with our colocation vendor providers. This person is key to driving world class operational performance to ensure ultimately that the colo vendors which are partnering with AWS operate their data center infrastructure according to AWS standards. We’re looking for a proven leader that will bring operational excellence enthusiasm, expertise and passion to drive performance improvements to deliver to our AWS customers’ expectation on service reliability.

The AWS Infrastructure Performance Management (IPM) team performs a vendor management function for Colocation (colo) Data Center vendors with which AWS has deployments. This is a key business control function that is required to satisfy AWS System and Organization Controls (SOC) compliance. In addition, IPMs serve as an escalation point for both our internal and external partners, manage contractual service level violations, and infrastructure risk reduction projects. Finally, the IPM serves as a subject matter expert that works cross organizationally with other teams in AWS to deliver service level improvements and scaling initiatives by leveraging the commercial and contractual relationships with AWS’ colocation vendors. Through these activities, the function supports and empowers Operations, Security, Engineering, and other key stakeholders, both internal and external, to drive continuous improvements in order to deliver a better and more reliable AWS customer experience
