Position Summary: The Senior Director Merchandise Operations will coordinate the design, process, produce, and sell all merchandise for festivals in their division. This position will work with both in-house and outside artists on the design of festival merchandise and with vendors and sponsors on the production. The Sr Dir Merchandise will hire, train and schedule event staff and oversee the delivery, setup and inventory of merchandise areas. This role will also work with the Digital team to oversee the implementation and execution of a festival e-commerce strategy. Essential Functions:

  • Recruit, hire and train event staff. Oversee the setup of merchandising area. Responsible for festival scheduling to ensure that all shifts are covered.
  • Manage inventory on site during festival, ensuring that inventory levels are appropriately stocked and no items are missing
  • Work with in-house and outside artists on the design for merchandise. Submit design to upper management and artist management for approvals, and ensure that all change request are incorporated into the final product.
  • Project management and merchandise production with vendors and sponsors. Organize shipments and item delivery. Review merchandise to ensure requirements have been applied correctly. Settle with artist representatives.
  • Expand online presence and take advantage of new technologies surrounding the onsite merchandising buying experience
  • Research new trends in design and up and coming artist. Build and maintain relationships with contacts in the fashion industry, vendors, artist, and sponsors.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: BA/BS is Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related area
  • 4-6 years of related work experience
  • Prior Experience supervising, leading, and/or mentoring teams

Pay Scale: $125,000 – $175,000 AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship. AEG may require an employee to perform duties outside his/her/their normal description.
