    Primary Responsibilities

    The Sr. Director of Sales will plan, direct and coordinate the development and execution of sales, marketing and merchandising programs to retail stores and other retailers that meet regional and company financial goals. This position will also develop and solidify relationships with customers, vendors and broker partners.     Essential Functions

    • Develop, increase and execute plans and programs to ensure the sales and profit growth at the account through analytical and fact-based selling.
    • Increase sales by developing creative promotional plans and managing through to profitable execution.
    • Ongoing sales plan development, assessment, analysis, and execution specific to the accounts of responsibility.
    • Increase sales by finding new business opportunities and through consistent follow up.
    • Responsible for the analysis and distribution of category management information and initiatives.
    • Participate in regional and national trade events and represent the company through public speaking and participation in industry associations.
    • Manage budgets for the assigned customers.
    • Monitor competitor activities and recommend paths forward to address these activities.
    • Work with a sense of urgency towards projects, request and deadlines.
    • Communicate and collaborate with other KeHE functional areas to meet all company objectives.
    • Assure that established company policies and procedures are followed in the assigned sales area.
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.

    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High school diplomas required.
    • Minimum five (10) years’ experience in the grocery retail channel. Five years in a supervisory or management role within industry.
    • Working knowledge of and literacy in computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
    • Ability and willingness to travel as needed, including out of town on business.
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including some weekends.
