Sr. Engineer – Development Verification

We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer, Development Verification. This position requires an experienced professional with a background in software quality assurance and system validation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to get involved in reviewing the requirements, test plans development, test case design, test execution and defect reporting. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his/her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a challenging environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Able to understand Telematic Control Unit and cross functional modules.
    • Own the end-to-end system validation of vehicle software in context of connectivity, experienced in routing, switching and VLANs.
    • Great knowledge of gathering software requirements to ensure requirements are clear, complete, and testable.
    • Create a comprehensive test plan that outlines testing approach, objective, scope, resources, and schedule.
    • Identify opportunities to improve validation processes, testing methodologies and overall product quality.
    • Experience building test infrastructure and automated testing.
    • Experience in documenting issues in detail and able to collaborate with developers in resolving those issues.

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors in computer science, computer engineer
    • 5+ years of experience in automation scripting language such as Python, Shell, or any other scripting languages.
    • 5+ years of developing the system level test cases.
    • At least 4 years of experience in developing test cases in embedded Linux
    • platforms.
    • Automotive protocol experience such as (DoIP, UDS, LIN and CAN)
    • Have strong protocol level of understanding in Wi-Fi, LTE and GPS protocols.
    • Strong understanding of security concepts such as Mutual TLS, VPN,
    • 802.1x and PKI.
    • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
    • Good programming/scripting knowledge for developing automation scripts.
    • Must be fully confident of writing/maintaining test cases and acceptance test plans.
    • Experience in using Automation test tools and Stress test tools.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters in computer science, computer engineer
    • Collaborations experience is nice to have.
    • Passion towards Embedded Systems testing.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
• California (Bay Area) – $127,000 – $165,000

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
