Meet the team:
Incumbent, under minimal supervision will provide CAD services to the Facilities Planning department such as creating, transposing, correcting, consolidating, and updating facility CAD drawings as well as creating diagrams and technical artwork as requested. Additionally, will perform scenario analysis for equipment and facility layouts, product and personal flow and equipment installation and ingress planning.
Where you come in:
- Create facility drawings, models diagrams and artwork from written and verbal instructions obtained from team members.
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to assigned scenarios team review. This will include: fitting equipment into spaces accounting for constraints such as minimum clearances, product flows, personnel access, determining methods and requirements to maneuver equipment into spaces from outside, and optimizing equipment numbers, adjacencies, placement, and orientations for optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers to create Utility Plans showing locations and details of required utilities for costing and communication to installers.
- Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
- Assist with administrative duties related to the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Maintain all revisions of all drafting product in a professional and organized manner in leu of available EDMS.
- Update and maintain drafting logbook.
- Delivers/issues drawings and/or requested information (e.g., square footage of rooms and buildings) to users as requested
- Collaborate with Facilities Management, Facilities Maintenance, Project Management, Space Planning, and others within Facilities department in alignment with role responsibilities.
- Communicates with architects, engineers, and other vendors to ensure standards and expectations are understood.
- Advises supervisor of delays, problems, and work assignment progress.
- Maintains acceptable attendance record, punctuality, and meeting deadlines.
- Participates in training sessions and seminars.
- Assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with technical and business software systems such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint, Bluebeam Revu, etc.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience using AutoCAD or similar relevant experience in an engineering environment.
- Must have a proven record of successful problem solving with equipment and facility layout and design through CAD drafting.
- Must have a good understanding of Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical drawing standards.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency with Electronic Document Management software and associated workflows.
- Understanding of facility construction processes.
- Office Space Planning experience

Exempt Salary Details:
The annual base salary range for this role is $82,900.00 to $138,100.00. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.
