Department Overview
The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, construction, maintenance, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.
Position Summary
Develops short and long-term work and resource plans and forecasts for EO Short Cycle work tasks performed by the Restoration and Field Metering teams. Analyzes work and resource trends and patterns. Develops work plans and schedules to meet customer commitments, compliance requirements and service level targets.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
• Minimum (Bay Area) $105,000.00
• Maximum (Bay Area) $169,000.00
Job Responsibilities
• Communicates integrated work and resource plans to dispatch, scheduling, business partners, local field leadership teams and monitors/drives plans while gathering feedback for necessary adjustments to address changing conditions as appropriate
• Coordinates with business partners to ensure material inventory plans support area specific work plans and tracks delivery of necessary materials to support targeted work completion timelines
• Develops and maintains system wide annual resource plans (including staffing recommendations) that support financial and operating targets.
• Develops annual/monthly geographic area specific resource plans to meet operations and financial targets and makes decisions to accomplish operational goals while mitigating risks such as overtime, resource movement, priority adjustments, opportunities to request support from field partners and staff reductions for declining workload
• Frequently interacts with EO leadership and makes recommendations, leads special projects and gets involved with strategic planning (S1, S2, GRC).
• Maintains operational familiarity of field work and field resource skill levels by spending time with local field teams
• Performs complex analysis to develop and drive integrated annual/monthly work plans to meet targeted work completion commitments based on compliance, safety and operations requirements, priorities and budget for Restoration and Field Metering work across the entire service area.
• Works with business partners on requests to update annual plans and integrates approved updates into monthly/weekly plans. Partners with local field leadership teams, Scheduling and Dispatch to coordinate and communicate necessary adjustments
Qualifications
Minimum:
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
• Job-related experience, 6 years
Desired:
• Masters Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
