LaSalle Network has partnered with a publicly traded manufacturing company known for their long-term commitment to excellence and innovation. Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our finance team in Deerfield, IL.
As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations by managing and optimizing our financial systems, with a strong emphasis on SAP, master data management and S4HAHA.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, identify process improvement opportunities and drive system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote. Budgeted base salary is up to $120,000.
Senior Financial Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for financial systems, primarily SAP, master data management and S4HAHA, providing end-user support, troubleshooting and system maintenance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance, IT and operations, to identify business requirements, translate them into technical solutions and implement system enhancements
- Oversee the integrity of financial data by ensuring accurate data entry, timely updates and adherence to established governance and control procedures
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to identify data discrepancies, resolve issues and implement preventive measures
- Provide training and support to end-users on financial systems and processes, including creating user manuals, conducting workshops and delivering training sessions
- Actively participate in system upgrades, testing and implementation projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to financial operations
- Analyze existing financial processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to optimize efficiency and accuracy
- Generate reports and dashboards to facilitate data analysis, financial reporting and decision-making processes
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to financial systems, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements
Senior Financial Systems Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field; MBA or advanced certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA, CFA) are a plus
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems analysis, with a focus on SAP, master data management and S4HAHA
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting and financial reporting
- Proven experience in system implementation, configuration and customization, as well as data migration and integration
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting purposes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business requirements
- Prior experience working in a publicly traded manufacturing company or a related industry is preferred
