Sr. HR Specialist, Global PXT Evolution – Devices & Services

Devices & Services (D&S) is the team behind the best-selling Amazon Echo & Alexa devices, Kindle e-reader, Fire tablet, Fire TV, and Dash Button product lines. D&S hosts a highly diverse and innovative 20,000+ employee base in software and hardware engineering, supply chain and manufacturing, to product and program management distributed across 20+ countries.

D&S Core Services HR team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Specialist to scope, design, and implement a simplified Global PXT Operating Model that creates a consistent experience for builders and inventors around the world to do their best work. You will partner with D&S PXT Leadership and global PXT teams to identify the biggest gaps and challenges to Regional support, providing interim and long-term solutions on how HRBPs and HRPs support employees, Managers, and Business Leaders.

Core Services is looking for an HR Specialist with excellent program/project management skills who can think big, lead end to end process execution and cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders and partner teams. Our goal is to design and implement a global PXT support model that is simplified and scalable for our growing and complex business.

Key job responsibilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

– Global HR experience (specifically in APAC, India, and EMEA)

– Experience leading/supporting global teams and familiar with the nuanced country and regional HR challenges; broad knowledge of employment laws across multiple regions (specifically in APAC, India, and EMEA)

– The ability to manage programs across a complex, global organization with matrixed teams

– The ability to look around corners and account for region specific nuances within the global PXT operating model

– Strong change management and stakeholder management

– A strong solution focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions

– The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, have a bias for action orientated on results

– The ability to interface at all levels of the organization

– A passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– 5+ years of experience in program/project management

– 5+ years of experience with Global HR programs and/or Global HR Business Partner experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 10+ years of experience in relevant Global HR operational programs, including experience leading cross-functional, global projects.

– Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

– Strong background in building and executing in a highly ambiguous, flexible environment.

– Strong data-driven, business writing skills.

– Experience in HR operations or Employee services, managing global stakeholders.

– Experience identifying and resolving issues independently, will take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.

– Strong bias for action and “get stuff done” attitude.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
