United Urology Group is regarded as the leading urology network in the country. Our Urology Group Affiliates consist of Chesapeake Urology, Arizona Urology- Phoenix & Scottsdale, Arizona Urology Tucson, Colorado Urology & Tennessee Urology.
We are looking to hire a Sr. Human Resources Generalist that serves as a strategic business partner and is responsible for leading and managing human resources activities for an assigned region(s).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations / Benefits / Compensation / Training
- Serve as a primary resource for Maryland and Tennessee markets, including backup support to HR managers in other regions as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of all state and federal employment laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Provide leadership, guidance, and counsel to management on human resources matters such as talent acquisition, organizational change, performance management, and employee relations.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Provide current employees with information about policies, employee benefits, wages, and opportunities for promotion.
- Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of the organization’s personnel policies and practices.
- Provide HR guidance to operational leadership teams.
- Consult and align company policies and procedures with Human Resources Director.
- Recognize monthly employment Anniversaries by sending employees appropriate certificates and year pins. Complete data change form for financial reward through payroll.
- Foster and facilitate ongoing partnerships with HRIS point of contacts.
- Serve as HRIS super-user and coordinate training efforts throughout respective markets.
- Assist with the development of training materials for HR-related courses.
- Plan and conduct/manage the new employee onboarding process, including new employee orientation, payroll setup, and documentation compliance.
- Manage all unemployment requests, including communication with unemployment office and investigating termination details.
- Assist with reporting on OSHA compliance training and other courses as needed.
- Perform other office duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Healthcare Administration
- Minimum of five years of progressive human resources experience
KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, team-building, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient computer software and database skills
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to sit 4-7 hours/day and stand 1-3 hours/day
- Intermittently required to stoop, bend, speak, and listen
