Your role at Baxter:
The Sr. Maintenance Technician works as a key member of a high-performance team responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations and equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical equipment failures.
- Review and track equipment component failures (example, boilers, fire systems, pre-treatment systems, HVAC, etc.) and help make recommendations for increased long term reliability.
- Maintain appropriate equipment documentation and change control according to internal procedures.
- Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment.
What you’ll bring:
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience.
- Refrigeration experience a plus.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, MAXIMO etc.).
Physical / Safety Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to stand for over 4 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds overhead.
- Must be able to wear personal protective as required.
- Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
- Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment and hand tools is required.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $36,000 to $90,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
