What You’ll Do
- Utilize sound news judgment and exceptional written and verbal communication skills to educate the public about Funko’s products, policies, and values.
- Collaborate closely with company executives to strategize, develop, and execute internal communication plans and other corporate HR initiatives.
- Create and execute an internal communications roadmap and touch point moments while being able to make the leap from gathering information to providing insight while cultivating creative ideas and concepts.
- Aware of and tracking industry trends to assist a global cross-functional team in anticipating challenges, identifying risks, and recognizing opportunities that align with broader business objectives.
- Execute synergy brand communication plans and corporate brand and product launch moments coordinating with cross organization stakeholders.
- Expertly manage crisis communications and address issues as they arise.
- Establish a well-organized roadmap for public appearances and speaking engagements that amplify and advance key corporate objectives.
- Produce a variety of external communication materials, including emails, statements, employee newletters, blog posts, press releases, talking points, fact sheets, customer service FAQs and more.
- Define KPIs for internal and corporate communications initiatives, track results. Keep a pulse on opportunities to amplify and share stories across various channels.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, PR or a related field preferred
- 7 years of relevant communications experience with 5 years of in-house communications experience within a public company or agency.
- Established track record in crafting and advancing corporate and internal communication narratives across various communication channels, including internal channels and external (press, events, and industry relations).
- Demonstrate aptitude for fostering collaboration across diverse teams and managing conflicting priorities to maintain alignment on vision, strategy, and performance objectives; possesses the ability to resolve conflicts with tact and diplomacy.
- Expertise in crisis communication and rapid response strategies.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, adept at simultaneously managing short-term projects and long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Quick adaptability to new issues and a willingness to devise innovative solutions.
- Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and meticulous attention to detail amidst a constant influx of inquiries and requests.
Salary InformationThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $105,000 – $130,500 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

This position can be based in any of our Funko Offices such as Burbank, CA.
