Project Manager I-Animal Care

FEFA, LLC is currently seeking a Project Manager I in animal care located in Bethesda, MD. Program Managers are expected to be thoroughly familiar with the day-to-day activities, personnel, and daily schedules within the facilities. FEFA, LLC expects each of our employees to be forward-thinking and to create and assist in quality performance and contract requirements. Also, ensure the efficient allocation of contract resources and maintain an effective, professional relationship with both FEFA, LLC, and Government staff.

Unless otherwise directed by FEFA, LLC management, your expected to perform your duties as assigned, arrive to work at 7:00 am, and depart at 3:30 pm. (Monday through Friday). Employees are required to work on the weekends and holidays as scheduled. The weekend/holiday hours are from 7:00am-11:00am.

Compensation at $70,000-$75,000 and is based on several factors including skills, experience, certification, and qualifications.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide direct management of contract staff assigned to the animal facility.
  • Provide implementation and oversight of staff evaluation, mentoring and correction.
  • Comprehend, follow, and ensure all project duties are performed in accordance with the contract statement of work, project SOP’s and policies.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as directed by contract requirements.
  • Communicate with customer in an effective and professional manner.
  • Schedule staff for daily, weekend, and holiday coverage.
  • Ensure facility supply inventories are procured timely and on-hand inventories are available.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC to ensure excellent performance.
  • Provide daily, weekly a formal monthly quality assurance for all areas of responsibility and report any non-compliance to the appropriate manager for immediate correction.
  • Provide data, information, and reporting according to contract deliverable schedule.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
  • Identify training topics that will benefit staff development and contract performance.
  • Understand and follow all policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings as directed.
  • Review data and provide trend information.
  • Review and compare data to regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Possess necessary computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and LATG certification.
  • Hold a current AALAS certification at the LATG level.
  • CMAR certified or in the process of achieving CMAR certification.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, fundamental knowledge of small animal experience with husbandry and technical support
  • Ability to work with various software and computer programs.
  • Facility operations experience is required.
