As a leader of Demand Planning, you will own and define our demand planning and asset procurement strategy, drive asset investment, drive scaling this initiative and interact with executive leadership and business teams. You’ll work in a fast paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also effectively day-to-day by diving deeply into business and operations domains. You will partner closely with Fleet Operations and Deployment, Resource planning, and a number of other business and product units to define processes, improve efficiency and scale the business

As an ideal candidate, you will need an extensive background in program management, demonstrated leadership of high-impact strategic initiatives, and experience in managing teams, and driving process improvement initiatives. The role requires rapid learning in new domain areas, understanding integration between products and systems, technical skillsets in analyzing data to make product decisions. This role offers an opportunity to play a prominent role in leading efforts that make a difference to our customers, while improving our efficiency and cost structure. This role is inherently cross functional – you will work closely with engineering, business, operations, finance and executive teams. This job will require exceptional communication skills and having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex challenges, communicating persuasively and with a strong bias to get things done and deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. Manager, Program Managament ,you will responsible for leading a team that drives demand planning for AFP, and also directly impacts our bottom line. You will:

  • Lead a team of Program Managers to define the demand planning and asset purchase strategy for the AFP program.
  • Define and track metrics of asset planning, utilization and impact to the bottomline.
  • Work in a fast paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also effectively day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains.
  • Work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist
  • Regularly interact with executive leadership and work with cross functional teams to program roadmap and execution.
  • Communicate persuasively and with a strong bias to get things done and deliver results
  • Define new initiatives that will make the most business impact and drive them to completion

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience in Transportation, Operations Research or an Analytical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
