Sr Manager, Visual Merchandising – Too Faced

Job Summary:

This position will be based in the Corporate Headquarters located in Irvine, CA. The Too Faced Visual Merchandising & Store Design Sr Manager will be part of a fun, collaborative work environment and will play an integral part in bringing Too Faced products to life. The Sr. Manager will own the design, creation, and execution of quarterly seasonal update guidelines and processes for global key channels of distribution. This candidate must be both creative and analytical, with a positive work ethic and a love for cosmetics.

Key Responsibilities:

Key creative and executional position, reporting into Director of Global Visual Merchandising and Store Design, managing at least 1 Full Time Specialist, and developing this division with industry best practices, visionary creative and strategic solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize permanent fixtures (gondola, shop-in-shop, freestanding store) and seasonal displays (gondola, endcap, tower, cashwrap) through hand sketching, inspiration and competitive shopping references, and modeling in 3D and rendering (SketchUp + Keyshot preferred)
  • Oversee all Global VMSD Guidelines pertaining to New Store Openings and Seasonal Update Development to be executed by Regional Teams:
    • Issue VMSD Guidelines for New Store Openings
    • Issue VMSD Guidelines quarterly for New Product Launches and/or Key Shopping Moments
    • Manage multiple VM vendors to prototype designs for VMSD Guidelines with benchmark pricing and master material boards
    • Manage organized, accurate documentation used to develop VMSD Guidelines, including but not limited to assortments, costs, and design / technical drawings
    • Guide Regional Teams on in-market execution through the review of proposals in 2D/3D and providing timely feedback on material use, asset usage and offering design solutions
  • Stay current in industry technologies and improve opportunities for process and communication
  • Source new fixture vendor for a diversified supplier portfolio, demonstrate an understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, cost, and time requirements of dimensional design development
  • Oversee top-level costing and negotiation processes for new designs in all areas of new permanent doors, seasonal, and secondary management:
    • Conduct ongoing reviews of pricing structures, including vendor rate cards and price-promise terms
    • As needed, partner with IP on project bids, value engineering, and sustainability
  • Work with Global Graphic Design team to oversee in-store graphic development process, documentation and timelines to take printed fixture elements from concept to Global VMSD Guideline standards.
    • Plan, traffic and oversee a smooth workflow between in-house creative and Global print vendors
    • Familiar with general printing and color nomenclature

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience with strong design background including concept development and production
  • High proficiency in SketchUp development and modeling, and Keyshot rendering
  • Proficiency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines, including familiarity with online project management tools, like Wrike
  • Ability to successfully communicate design direction and strategy to cross functional and creative team members

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $96,500 to $159,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
