Job Overview
The SR Manager – Program Management is responsible for enabling cross-functional team members to leverage their expertise into project realization, driving project teams in the efficient execution of new strategic projects and technology deployments towards time, cost, and growth goals. The individual will own documentation and tracking of all programs including definition and execution to a stage gate process, regular cadence of meetings/reviews, reporting, program metrics, and countermeasures. The Sr Manager – Program Management will assist the organization in project prioritization and resource management while effectively communicating program status, anticipating and escalating program issues, and proposing solutions to meet project goals based on expertise and experience. The role best suits a candidate who is highly organized, articulate, and hands-on, comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, managing conflict, influencing resources outside one’s reporting structure, removing obstacles, driving progress, and maintaining accountability. This role will also need to be a player-coach, helping to build and manage project timelines with cross-functional teams as we build and scale project management capabilities within the channel organization.

Short Description

This individual deploys hard and soft skills, business acumen, leadership skills, and Project Management techniques and tools to drive project performance.

Typical responsibilities include:
Program Management:

  • Lead the program management of a portfolio of strategic initiatives to provide visibility, drive prioritization, maximize impact value and ensure delivery of expected results.
  • Execute programs within scope, time, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate closely with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams to document project scope and objectives.
  • Lead program status updates to management relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule)

Project management coaching + support

  • Create project schedule, identify critical path, and maintain throughout execution.
  • Work with the project teams to define, assess and mitigate risks that have a major impact on project cost, schedule, investment, and technology.

Establish PMO standards + build capability within the channel organization:

  • Drive consistency and excellence in scoping, development, and execution of initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to improve the overall PMO process and apply lessons learned that will ensure future success.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum 5 years experience managing project management staff directly.
  • Excellent knowledge of proper project management techniques- planning, monitoring, controlling and governance of a program
  • Direct experience leading large scale, cross-functionally highly complex projects/programs successfully. Capable of handling a portfolio of work.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable operating and communicating with very senior levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative and able to influence decisions with both internal and external stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Proven ability to manage across functions particularly where resources do not report directly to the role
  • Highly driven self-starter, dynamic, action oriented and able to motivate colleagues and directs

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $142,400- $212,000(subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
