General Statement of Duties
Forsyth County Parks and Recreation is seeking a Sr. Office Assistant for Tanglewood Park.

This is a great opportunity to work in a beautiful park setting. Qualified applicant will enjoy meeting lots of people and working independently. This position oversees four Gate Attendants.

This position is full-time and will require working some evenings and weekends. This position may also require standing for an extended period of time.

Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED and two years of office/clerical work.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Knowledge of point of sale systems and experience with cash registers is preferred.

A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or park of the experience requirement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
This position is the lead person at the Front Gate at Tanglewood Park. Responsible for collecting gate entry fees, fishing fees and account for vehicles entering the park.

Count and verify the Cash Fund at the beginning of each shift. Ensure accuracy in cash handling and change is available at all times. All transactions entered into the POS system. Verify accuracy in the POS system and revenue. Complete end of day closing procedures and prepare bank deposit.

Responsible for creating monthly schedule for (1) full-time employee and (4) part-time employees with the Office Administrator’s approval. Open 7 days a week, daily hours of operation vary with the season. Work closely with team members to utilize staff from other work centers. Arrange coverage for unplanned absences. Inform staff of updates, changes and required training.

Advise guests accordingly of Park rules and policies.

Keep front gate clean and functional for all employees. Provide supplies as needed.

To occasionally provide coverage at the Manor House and Welcome Center. This will include operation of the reservation systems for accommodations and campground, check-in and check-out procedures and daily closing documents. Guest services for both accommodation areas.
