Lucid is seeking a full-time Senior Paralegal to support our commercial and procurement legal team. The role will be for a full-time employee in our Newark Ca, location. The Senior Paralegal will review, negotiate, draft and manage a broad range of agreements, e,g., general terms and conditions of purchase, services, non-disclosure agreements and statements of work.
As a Senior Paralegal, you will partner closely with a variety of internal stakeholders across the organization, including global teams within Procurement, Manufacturing, Facilities, Technology, Cybersecurity, Marketing and HR. The ideal candidate will be organized, pays close attention to detail, is adept at prioritizing and managing competing interests, has excellent communication skills and is able to operate autonomously while being a team player.
You Will:
- Vendor-facing contract review, redlining, drafting (with attorney support) and negotiation of a wide range of procurement-related contracts.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders questions about contracts that are in progress and executed contracts, and advise on contract process, status updates, and internal policies.
- Assist with the development and improvement of existing processes, including updating or creating standard form templates, contract playbooks and guidelines, escalation processes, procurement training and tools, and FAQs.
- Manage initial negotiation escalations and track initial deal concessions.
- Develop expertise in the contract lifecycle management system (Agiloft) used to track requests, obtain required approvals, and store contracts/amendments.
- Participate in special projects to identify, develop, implement, and enhance processes and policies that improve the organization’s efficiency and standardization.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a paralegal professional required
- In-house paralegal experience is strongly preferred
- Must have excellent database skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Teams, and a willingness to learn other systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
- Must be highly organized and experienced at tracking multiple matters simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments and adhere to deadlines
- Program and project management experience.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
• California (Bay Area) – $96,000 – 132,000 annually
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
