Sr Performance Analyst

Job Description:

The Sr Performance Analyst is responsible for executing custom content campaigns, tracking delivery, creating insightful performance reports and optimizing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills and strong attention to detail. Sr Performance Analyst will partner with Campaign Operations, Planning & Strategy, Marketing and Sales to ensure campaign success and client satisfaction. Additionally, the Sr Performance Analyst will identify reporting discrepancies and partner with Campaign Operations to trouble-shoot & resolve third party discrepancies. This role requires communication both with internal and external clients. The candidate must be insights-driven, patient, flexible, enjoy a fast paced environment, dedicated to client satisfaction and team oriented. Sr Performance Analyst must also possess superb time-management skills and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive constant ‘test and learn’ methodology to improve our subscriber experience, leveraging customer data and personalization
  • Serve as a liaison between the Marketing and Data teams, translating business requests into data requirements
  • Develop business logic to enable the creation of audience segments, automated omni-channel journeys and personalization in support of Consumer Marketing campaigns
  • Meet with the various marketing teams to review campaign requirements, reporting requirements, and build the finalized data variables and data files.
  • Work closely with the Channel team on the implementation and ongoing performance of all automated omni-channel journeys
  • Assist in A/B test plan design to assure they are set up to attain actionable learnings as well as measuring performance of tests and campaigns
  • Manage campaign queue and build dozens of weekly campaigns via CDP, ActionIQ
  • Manage high profile legal campaigns to ensure Dow Jones is compliant with state laws and regulations
  • Team up with a data engineer to ingest and validate data required for all Marketing campaigns
  • Work with key stakeholders to deliver marketing analytics, model performance, and automated KPI/metrics reporting
  • Build workbooks in Tableau and export from data warehouses via SQL
  • Create data visualization dashboards and reports to surface insights that allow for continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of online advertising and analytical experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Intimate familiarity with the media landscape and social ad networks (including Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn ads, as well as familiarity with the organic sides of those platforms).
  • Understanding of analytics tools and ad-serving technologies. DFP/DFA, Native ad servers a plus,. Omniture, Google Analytics, Moat, IAS.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Knowledge of 3rd party vendors (Mediamind, Pointroll, DFA, Atlas, etc).
  • Ability to tell a story from the data.
  • Ideal candidate is someone who possesses the ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

Pay Range: $50,000 – $180,000
