Job Description

Sr. Product Analyst, Source-to-Pay will play a significant role in the definition and implementation of an over-arching application strategy, including architecture, design and roadmaps. The successful candidate will perform work that is highly complex, varied in nature, and span multiple functional areas, though being focused in one or two. This individual will also seek to ensure the optimum utilization of existing system platforms and their integration while considering and / or facilitating the justified deployment of new technologies in response to business requirements. As a Sr. Product Analyst, this role will be responsible for guiding configuration, functional and technical design and reviewing the work of the product team members and managed services providers. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding NBCU business processes requirements by engaging with business partners at enterprise and division level.
  • Craft adaptable, comprehensive, and feasible solutions by creating necessary blueprint documents for functional requirements and technical specifications
  • Design functional solutions to solve business problems and needs
  • Ensure agreement on design with process owners
  • Review Source-to-Pay design recommendations to ensure quality and consistency across the Global Source-to-Pay footprint and integration with financial solutions.
  • Lead SAP Source-to-Pay initiatives relating to spend analysis, sourcing, contract management, supplier management, and final activities including e-procurement, purchase order processing, invoice automation, accounts payable, and payment processes.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and product team members
  • Advise on solution roadmap for projects considering current footprint
  • Review and/or participate in solution build and test activities on implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects
  • Review work performed by other team members as per established standards
  • Review current standards and revise to ensure best practices
  • Serve as the conduit between engagement team, business, and engineering.
  • Assist in vendor selection, product selection, and strategy related to Source-to-Pay solutions.

This is considered a senior role within the Product team. This role is expected to provide Source-to-Pay related solution leadership to the entire Product team, help resolve difficult scenarios, make decisions under conflicting situations, build relationships with business partners and ensure solutions are feasible as per business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • 10+ years of progressive Source-to-Pay hands on experience leading up to Solution Architect level of work in a consultative and/or IT capacity with at least 5 project implementations of high complexity, large scale and global user base
  • Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay applications (Examples: APEX, Ariba, SAP) and Basic knowledge of DW and Security
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills
  • Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT
  • Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
  • Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture
  • Adherence to IT project methodologies, and change control processes
  • Familiarity and comfort in working in an outsourced module with onshore and offshore resources
  • Strong / effective influencing skills
  • Strong / effective problem-solving skills
  • Conceptual to detailed thinking skills
  • Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding environment

    • Tibco
    • Informatica
    • SAP Cloud Integration
    • SAP API Gateway
  • Experience with Worksoft, uPerfrom and HPALM
  • Certified Public Account or Equivalent
  • PMI Certified+
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Teams)
