Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or a body of work that demonstrates expertise
- 5+ years software UX, interaction design, or product design experience at a SaaS technology company or equivalent SaaS design and software experience
- Demonstrated experience contributing to full life-cycle design including shipped products
- Candidates must be able to provide current portfolio and/or work samples
Preferred Skills:
- Success in leading design of cohesive solutions across multiple touchpoints
- Knowledge of touch device best practices and contributing to an enterprise design system
- Experience designing solutions for physical hardware devices
- Experience designing solutions for reporting/analytical SaaS products
- Subject matter expertise (through practice and/or other professions) of Pharmacy staff/operations in a hospital setting is not required but will be taken into consideration.
- Success working with dispersed teams across time zones
Required Skills:
- Strong skills in 2 of 3: interaction design, visual design, user research
- Clear communications skills with both coworkers and customers
- Ability to articulate design principles & decisions to non-designers
- Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Demonstrated critical thinking, sound decision making, and an ability to manage project bandwidth and pipeline, to execute in sync with roadmaps
- Interest in developing a deep understanding of healthcare and medication management
- Clearly display outcomes from feedback session and new approaches for collecting user data
- Able to use knowledge of the users, and the domain to influence business decisions
- Experience planning, facilitating, and synthesis of research during discovery and validation phases
- Knowledge of design workshopping, to lead team in discovery process
- Ability to process complex systems and build holistic solutions
- Skill in analyzing documentation from different sources and constructing models to enhance clarity for the team
Responsibilities
Discovery:
- Apply your skills to iteratively discover and refine solutions to key problems based on balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Seek out and incorporate feedback from users and cross-functional team members
- Develop relationships with customers and prospects, learning from them about their goals and problems, building intuition about the problem space to solution appropriately
Design:
- Lead the creation of user flows, journey maps, and other artifacts that help clarify the problem and solution
- Lead the creation of wireframes and prototypes to demonstrate & test designs
- Design safe, scalable, clear, and efficient product experiences for desktop and mobile
- Analyze information from multiple sources and build models to align teams
- Process Development
- Understand the application of design system components and patterns
- Contribute proactively to the design system
- Build processes across the team to enhance clarity
Collaboration:
- Work closely with multiple cross-functional scrum teams (product, engineering, QA, clinical specialists) to define and create products for nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy techs, administrators, and executives
- Foster connections across teams to promote cohesion and consistency throughout the user experience
Leadership:
- Educate partners and stakeholders in the value of design and the mechanics of design process.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to peers and junior designers
Work Conditions
- This position requires up to 20% US based travel to meet with teams and customers
- This position is 100% remote enabled from any US location
- This role will report to the Manager, Product Design
Specific to pay transparency laws, the targeted annual salary for this position is $122,467 – $161,530. The offered salary and job level will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s geographic location, relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and other business considerations.
