The Amazon Fashion team is redefining how customers shop for fashion products online. In order to deliver the best shopping experience, we must have the inventory customers are looking for when they want it. This requires optimization across the supply chain starting from buying and sourcing, to inbound operations, to delivery experience.
We are looking for a creative and entrepreneurial minded leader to join our exciting and fast-paced team. Specifically, we are looking for a leader with proven product management skills to facilitate and drive improvements to buying systems with the goal of improving buying accuracy and execution speed so we have the right level of inventory to please customers. The Sr. Product Manager will work closely with cross-org partners, technology teams, research scientists, and supply chain specialists to deliver results that tie directly to key operational metrics and the P&L.
A successful candidate must be highly organized, self-starting and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. You need to be able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, as well as roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. This is a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, define product strategy and requirements, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. You must exercise considerable judgement, drive strategy and tactical execution, and utilize written/verbal communication at a senior executive level.
Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to succeed in this role.
