Sr Product Manager – FCF Negotiations (L5), Consumables Free Cash Flow

Amazon’s US Consumables Supply Chain Team is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical project manager to help redefine how Amazon fulfills customer demand for Consumables products. This Product Manager will work cross-functionally to deliver operational improvements and incremental profitability for the US Consumables businesses. In particular, this Product Manager will lead Consumables Negotiations, including both Annual Vendor Negotiations and Ongoing Vendor Negotiations, articulating overall strategy and working with the category teams to represent Supply Chain opportunities in negotiations with Vendors. This role will work with Negotiations leads for other product families across North America Stores and will partner with Amazon Profitability Management on negotiations tooling.

The Consumables FCF Product Manager will be responsible for creating mechanisms for tracking the progress and performance of his or her FCF projects, scoping new projects and working with the Consumables category teams to execute his or her savings Products. This role will partner across several internal teams (but not limited to): Retail product families/SCOT/Operations/Vendor Managers/Finance. This will also involve collaboration with Amazon’s largest vendors in Health & Personal Care (HPC), Grocery, Baby, Beauty, and Pets. This leader will be responsible for showcasing the results of these initiatives during updates with senior leadership.

Consumables has a strong legacy for innovation and growth of FCF initiatives, and this Sr. PM will help write the next chapter.

SUPPLY CHAIN
• Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives to continuously improve overall cost structure and customer experience.
• Drive complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve revenue and profitability
• Drive improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency and ensuring that the company makes efficient supply chain decisions
• Work cross functionally to identify and build best practices and process improvements
• Drive cross-functional projects to support new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the organization.

VENDOR MANAGEMENT
• Identify, define and execute operational changes with vendors in partnership with Vendor Management team to drive supply chain improvements
• Establish strong vendor relationships with key/strategic vendors

AUTOMATION ENHANCEMENT
• Work closely with internal technical teams to drive multi-system process changes
• Drive scalable solutions for specific opportunities and issues

US Consumables Free Cash Flow is a set of programs designed to improve overall profitability with a focus on increasing vendor margin through strategic negotiations; decreasing operational costs through supply chain, packaging, and inventory optimization; and enhancing our pricing systems. Our goal is to reduce FulCPU so that we can enable Consumables to expand selection and delight customers with more options that they need for their everyday essentials.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of product management experience

– Experience managing technical products or online services

– Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level

– Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
