At Amazon, we’re working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver their orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best-in-class service levels by pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space. We are doing this by building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called Delivery Partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss by delivering Amazon packages.
As a Sr PM, New Delivery Modes, you will be responsible for developing and launching new iterations of our Amazon Flex program in different countries. You will start by interacting with business operations teams in NA, APAC, and EU, to understand their most pressing business challenges and the Delivery Partner experience in each region. You will explore new delivery modes and business models, write ‘white papers’, and create robust business plans that deliver outstanding experiences for our Delivery Partners as well as solve for our business needs. This will involve evaluating the current landscape, sizing the opportunity, building pricing and operational models, creating marketing plans, and leading the launch strategy. You will partner with our Last Mile technology teams to develop the product roadmap, and will partner with regional Amazon Flex and partner teams to execute your vision.
The ideal candidate has a track record of success in project and stakeholder management, is a strong writer and communicator, and is resourceful. You are a ‘hands-on’ person with high level of autonomy and you are not afraid to drive results from the front. This will be a high-visibility role, meaning you are comfortable with driving critical business decisions in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and interacting with all levels of the organization.
