Sr. Product Manager – Pricing , US Consumables

Amazon is looking for a customer obsessed team member to join the Consumables Pricing Team supporting our Consumables Everyday Essential businesses (Grocery, Health and Personal Care, Beauty, Pet and Baby). The Consumables Pricing Team owns identifying and driving strategic pricing product roadmap focused on improving price perception and driving new operational capabilities and revenue streams. This role will coordinate, support and facilitate the implementation of new and improved structure, processes, and activities across multiple teams that will allow Amazon to identify, quantify and achieve our pricing goals.

The Pricing Sr. PM will gather and analyze structured & unstructured data from various sources and teams, synthesizing and overlaying it with how our business processes and systems interplay to support the US Consumables customer experiences. This role will work to build a deep functional knowledge of our pricing systems and our customer’s buying processes. The Sr. Pricing PM will work with stakeholders to set the CX aspiration for our customers and to design/drive solutions/features that deliver the best pricing/value to our customers across all Consumables categories. The Sr Pricing PM owns analytic and reporting tools to share visibility on Consumables specific topline and bottom line impact of pricing drivers, new pricing features and configurations. Please note that this is a L6 IC PM Non-Tech role that is focused on strategy rather than development of actual products which are owned by partners teams.

While this team is focused on Consumables, several of our initiatives span across all product families, resulting in high impact, complex and visible projects.

Key job responsibilities
• Partner with Consumables product lines to understand Price Perception opportunities.
• Measure and analyze products and business models for opportunities to innovate and improve, and contribute to the overall pricing innovation roadmap.
• Create buy-in for the product vision both with direct internal team and central Pricing teams.
• Proactively identify and partner with technology teams to resolve strategic issues that would drive short and long-term pricing UX improvements.
• Develop creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps and business requirements.
• Work closely with engineering, business development and program management to launch products and functionality.
• Be the central subject matter expert on Pricing strategy for the entire Consumables organization, and establish SOPs and strategic playbooks for Vendor Managers.

The Consumables Selection & Pricing Team’s mission is to accelerate the flywheel through scalable initiatives that increase relevant selection for our Customers from nationally recognized Brands across Retail and 3P, deliver consistently sharp prices, and improve Price Perception.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with end to end product delivery

– Experience as a product manager or owner

– Experience owning technology products

– Experience in partnering with business owners to understand requirements and develop supporting analysis to solve business problems.

– Strong verbal/written communication, including an ability to effectively develop and communicate clear, thoughtful, and comprehensive recommendation/ analyses.

– Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload and roadmaps

– Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects.

– Strong analytical abilities and oral/written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

– MBA

– Experience in developing, delivering and executing on a strong product vision.

– Proven track record of developing user stories or product/ business requirement documents

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
