Amazon’s Middle Mile Planning & Optimization team is looking for an exceptional Sr. Product Manager-Tech to solve complex middle mile forecasting and scheduling problems that ensure we exceed customer delivery promise expectations and minimize overall operational cost while supporting Amazon’s rapid growth globally. We use cutting edge technologies in Big Data and Machine Learning to optimize the flow of packages within our network to efficiently match network capacity with shipment demand. We build scalable systems that react to live signals in real time by using innovative forecasting and scheduling optimization algorithms. Our services already handle thousands of requests per second, make business decisions impacting billions of dollars a year, and improve the delivery experience for millions of online shoppers. That said, this remains a fast-growing business and our journey has just started. You will lead product definition and management for products within the middle mile planning space, regularly interacting with executive leadership and working with research scientists, business/operations leaders, and other technical leaders to build capabilities that transform our transportation network. You will be responsible for defining the product strategy and roadmap along with technology and execution. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will lead not only at the strategic level, but also dive deep into business and technical domains.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
– Experience managing technical products or online services
– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
