Sr. Product Manager – Technical, Amazon Health Store and Tech

Amazon’s mission is to make it dramatically easier for customers to access the healthcare products and services they need to get and stay healthy. Towards this mission, we (the Health Store and Technology team) are building the technology, products and services, that help customers find, buy, and engage with the healthcare solutions they need to get and stay healthy.

To achieve our mission, the HST team will build a one-stop healthcare destination that helps customers find, buy, and engage with the health and wellness services and products they need to live better. We are responsible for unifying the healthcare experience through shared services in order to simplify how customers engage with health and wellness products and services across Amazon.

In this role, you will drive the long-term vision for Amazon Health and will partner closely with design, product management, analytics, and engineering leaders to make both incremental progress and innovative shifts in customer experience. You must be able to influence across teams, be a strong written and verbal communicator and analytic thinker, and have a history of delivering results.

Key job responsibilities
• Work in a highly ambitious, strategically important, and rapidly changing environment at Amazon.
• Use technical expertise to make tradeoffs in technical design, collaborate with Engineering on implementation details, and scale technology to be used in the Healthcare context.
• Use partners, research, metrics, and high judgement to define strategy, write business requirements, provide technical input, and develop product roadmaps for the projects you own.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts and rationale for product decisions clearly and persuasively across different audiences including senior leadership.
• Work closely with software engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver features.
• Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning.
• Strong attention to detail and end-to-end ownership.

We are an organization of product managers, program managers (tech and non-tech), SDMs, engineers, applied scientists, business intelligence, UX designers, creatives, researchers, and marketers, all dedicated to the mission of making it dramatically easier for Amazon customers to discover and access the health and wellness products and services they need to get and stay healthy.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience managing technical products or online services

– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
