Sr. Product Manager- Technical, Machine Learning, WW Prime

We are looking for a highly skilled and effective Senior Product Manager-Technical to invent and scale the next generation of Machine Learning (ML) products that will transform Amazon’s Prime program. Key job responsibilities

As a Senior PMT, you will identify customer problems and invent ML products that will enhance the Prime experience for customers, create automation, and boost productivity. You will share your vision at senior leadership levels and secure sponsorship. You will partner closely with your product, science and engineering partners to build and optimize ML products globally. Strong technical problem-solving, product management, and communication skills are a must, along with ML knowledge and an understanding of how developers build, manage and deploy their infrastructure and applications. You must be able to manage complex initiatives across numerous business models, create certainty out of ambiguous requirements, while having a firm grasp over the operational, strategic, and technical aspects of the product. You should also possess the ability to influence people across the organization from tech leadership to business managers by creating win-win solutions.

A day in the life

– Work with internal customers to understand their use cases and their existing solutions. Drive requirements definition, compliance, feature development priority, and product messaging.

– Define product strategy and vision, and own the product roadmap.

– Own Business Requirement Documents, User Stories, Use Cases, and Product Strategy documents.

– Collaborate with your engineering and applied scientists’ teams to drive the product roadmaps for ML models.

– Evaluate technical solutions with alternatives and decompose significantly complex problems into concise and effective technical propositions.

– Address bottlenecks, identify inefficiencies, anticipate and make tradeoffs; balance the business and customers’ needs versus technical constraints.

– Own business metrics for customer engagement, and operational reliability. Design mechanisms to ensure long-term product or business success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience managing technical products or online services

– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
