To support our mission, we’re hiring a Sr. Program Manager, Culture & Employee Experience. This is a highly visible role and is both strategic and hands-on. The role will be an advisor, business partner, and end-to-end owner for numerous high-impact projects and programs within the AHS organization. The role is a key player in helping to build and sustain a culture which enables the organization to attract, develop, engage, and retain employees from a variety of industry backgrounds, while also embracing the qualities and peculiarities of Amazon’s existing Day 1 culture. The role reports into the People, eXperience and Technology (HR) team supporting AHS, and will work across the org with key business stakeholders and partner teams to deliver on this charter.

The ideal candidate for this role has experience working in a fast-paced, large-scale environment and a demonstrated ability to engage collaboratively at all levels of an organization. They will also possess a broad range of competencies including project, program and event management, influencing without authority, agility and flexibility, an adaptable communication style based on audience, and the ability to analyze complex data, propose and deliver concise solutions, and produce high quality results. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing a budget and cost estimates, and partnering with Finance to model and plan for expenditures.

This role will sit out of our Seattle, WA campus and require semi-regular business travel (~25%). Non-local candidates are welcomed and encouraged to apply; relocation benefits will be offered to the selected candidate.

Key job responsibilities

– Develop and lead short and long-term goals and projects in partnership with HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, Internal Communications, business stakeholders, and other partner teams

– Build and sustain key programs and initiatives

– Author documents to propose novel ideas, obtain buy-in from senior leaders, and influence peers and stakeholders

– Project manage employee engagement and experience goals and events

– Report on goal/project progress and successes, flag where support is needed, and share lessons learned with PXT and business leadership through recurring mechanisms

– Organize cross-functional stakeholders and teams around key goals and drive delivery

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of program or project management experience

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

– Bachelor’s Degree, preferably focused in human resource management/business, communications, public relations, marketing or other related field

– Strong stakeholder management, event planning, and organization skills

– Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience communicating with and influencing senior leaders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience building a best-in-class culture at a large healthcare, health tech, or high tech organization

– Demonstrated ability to balance multiple high priority and complex workstreams with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

– Experience in the planning and end-to-end execution of large-scale events

– Ability to think long-term and look around corners/flag risk to peers, stakeholders, and leadership

– Demonstrated bias for action and an ability to deliver results through ambiguity

– Prior experience as an HR Business Partner or Change Management professional in a matrixed organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
