Job Description:

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the entire program life cycle as well as providing direction to the supporting Delivery Managers. They will have experience in executing large, complex enterprise projects and programs. The Senior Program Manager is well versed in program management methodology, has a rich background of program and project successes, is energetic, personable, and thrives in a dynamic environment. The Senior Program Manager possesses the ability to find creative solutions to issues that jeopardize program goals/business objectives or timing, within budget or resource constraints.

Our future Program Manager is able to envision the big picture and interface with executives at all levels, business partners, functional team members, as well as vendors, to materialize the overall focus of the program in line with the business strategy. The Manager leverages their expertise to drive decision-making in all aspects of the program/project activities and mitigates erroneous decisions. The Senior Program Manager is able to manage program/project(s) and/or program managers in a cross-functional, matrix management environment, where high-risk, large costs and tremendous change is paramount to the organization. The role relies upon experience in relationship management, master plan management, communications, change management, delivery execution, and benefits realization. Communication of progress, issues/risks, and financials are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery by:
  • Driving cross-functional delivery across multiple teams
  • Identify gaps and work with partners to resolve them
  • Managing and mitigating risk and issues
  • Ensuring external program dependencies are properly delivered
  • Communicating and reporting status at appropriate frequency and level of detail for each stakeholder
  • Coach and mentor Delivery Managers
  • Serve the teams by:
  • Helping them to construct solid working agreements, guidelines and drive process adherence and improvement
  • Foster cross-team coordination and communication
  • Motivating, empowering, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Know and understand the program:
  • Gain a detailed understanding of the products, tools, and practices of the teams
  • Knowledge of the technical and business context of the program including related services
  • Demonstrable understanding of your product domain and immediate surrounding areas, be able to and confident of discussing this with team members

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university
  • At least 7 years of experience managing projects and teams at various levels of maturity
  • Demonstrate progressively responsible experience / technical expertise in systems/software including managing multiple projects and teams on large-scale programs
  • Excellent team management skills and detailed understanding of product and systems integration issues
  • Some applied knowledge of the media industry, web technologies, and user engagement platforms
  • Proven ability to produce high levels of customer/stakeholder satisfaction
  • Basic investment industry knowledge including industry drivers, key players, trends, business processes, and third-party service providers
  • Ability to prepare resource and time estimates with a good degree of reliability
  • Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills; frequent strategic interactions with high-level clients
  • Time and task management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience
  • Project Management Certification (CSM/PSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, SAFe, etc)

Pay Range: $100,000 – $250,000
