Sr. Program Manager, R2L Centralization

Amazon’s Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) team is looking for a Senior Program Manager eager to join the growing strategy team that supports R2L Central Operations. R2L is an exciting organization that specializes in fulfilling and delivering orders across Sub Same Day, Rural, Retail, Grocery, and many other networks to delight Customers around the world with delivery to their doorsteps.

The Senior Program Manager will own a large program, define the business problem statements, program strategy, and solutions on prioritized areas of opportunity that aligns with business needs. This must be done in strong partnership with dozens of teams and stakeholders, creating and managing multiple projects in parallel, driven from inception to implementation of centralized functions (processes, tools, metrics, etc.). The Sr. PM will own driving continuous improvement after launch, identifying opportunities to poke yoke and automate, and partner with Ops teams to drive change management and compliance to uphold the expected impact on the Customer Experience.

Communication mechanisms from program flashes to strategy and initiative documents will be a key responsibility for the Sr. PM to surface risks, support needed, the health of the program, and leadership visibility. This role will require extensive stakeholder management and collaboration, partner with single-threaded leaders to deliver results, and be a key contributor into weekly business reviews. This role is best suited for a Sr. PM that thrives in ambiguous, cross-functional, and rapid launch environments with a strong roll-up-your-seleves team collaboration culture!

• Be the single-threaded owner responsible for defining the strategy for the program and the necessary initiatives to uphold that strategy
• Self-identify problem statements and areas of opportunity, and present these to leadership and business stakeholders
• Partner with teams across the organization and multiple programs to source, allocate, and coordinate resources by driving critical prioritization discussions
• Manage and deliver results on complex programs and related projects across multiple organizations
• Gather business requirements for technical and business intelligence integration, negotiate process improvements and needed features, distinguishing between important and urgent, and program-specialized vs program-agnostic solutions
• Create metrics reporting to drive both operational and program improvements that define business needs

Partnering with Directors, VPs, and other key operational and technical leaders across the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of program or project management experience

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

– Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of driving process improvements experience

– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
