The Role at a Glance

As the Sr. Project Manager, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for Lincoln’s Annuity HQ Team – including establishing and leading complex enterprise wide, cross-functional initiatives and leading different projects/programs including efforts to launch new products and services, large scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.

What you’ll be doing
• Develops & executes complex effective project &/or program management throughout the project lifecycle from inception / when a project request is submitted thru to release to production, including but not limited to: project planning, resource planning, change management, and communications planning
• Ensures that the project schedule is accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes.
• Directs and delivers complex projects and/or programs conforming to project management standards and processes as designated by their assigned area of responsibility, including applicable change control and agile project management methodology using Kanban.
• Identifies key cross-functional issues and project synergies; provides guidance with specific project issues.
• Collaborates effectively with management and appropriate project stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality, and risk of assigned projects/programs.
• Analyzes assigned project and/or program plans to validate if project outcomes will meet the business needs and align/support operational plans/objectives and recommends mitigation plans.
• Advises and collaborates with project owners and appropriate personnel to manage project/program quality and cost.
• Identifies complex project/program resourcing needs and facilitates the procurement of needed hardware, software, and human resources for the project.
• Monitors and evaluates assigned complex project and/or program’s progress and performance against the project plan and develops complex mitigation plans.
• Identifies and resolves complex project and/or program issues to minimize delays.
• Facilitates project/program communications with sponsors and other leaders/contributors.
• Serves as a subject matter expert to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on project management best practice standards, templates, and practices.
• Utilize influence skills to help achieve desired business outcomes.
• Serves as a mentor and shares expertise with project managers and project team members.

What we’re looking for
• 5 – 7+ Years of experience in Project Management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
• Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
• Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., senior management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
• Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• 4 Year Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s
Nice to Have/Preferred Skills –
• Proficiency in using Teamwork.com.
• Annuity or insurance domain knowledge.
• PMP

Pay Range: $97,700 – $139,900

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
