About the Role:

You will oversee the strategic planning and execution for events and commercial opportunities featuring the Dow Jones CEO. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working with business leaders and the centralized events department, you will ensure that the CEO’s appearances are strategic and business-oriented. You will arrange all details of the CEO’s experience and brief the CEO accordingly.

You will be based in our New York City office and are flexible regarding work schedule and be willing to travel in advance of, and/or with, the CEO to events. As part of the Office of the CEO, you will maintain the highest levels of professionalism in all activities related to this role.

You Will:

  • Understand the Dow Jones business, brands and customers and can identify how an executive events strategy can support our goals
  • Identify and book interesting and relevant guests for small, private executive events
  • Plan, organize and complete all responsibilities relating to CEO-hosted events
  • Find and secure appropriate event venues based on event type
  • Coordinate with business leaders to define overall CEO appearance strategy, and build out specific goals and success metrics for each
  • Manage logistics and oversee executive preparation, including briefing documents
  • Coordinate follow-ups – both with guests and internal stakeholders – after events from CEO

You Have:

  • 7+ years relevant high-level business strategy
  • Experience building sophisticated corporate media events
  • Experience booking VIP guests and providing white glove service
  • Strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Exceptional people skills and an ability to remain poised and unflappable in all situations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to style and grammar
  • Experience managing executive experiences at major international business events, including the World Economic Forum and Cannes Lion Festival, preferred

Pay Range: $65,000 – $200,000
