Job Location: El Dorado Hills, CA – Remote
Role: Project Manager – Medi-CAL (California’s Medicaid Health Care Program)
Work experience required: 10-15 Years
Skill set: Medi-CAL ( California’s Medicaid health care program), Budgeting , Financials , Agile Methodology
Required Skills:
- Hands-on and strong in Healthcare Medi-CAL knowledge ( California’s Medicaid health care program)
- Ability to effectively manage large-scale, high-complexity projects/programs of diverse scope that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders to implement Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBSA), state, and federal mandates
- Experience and understand with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Desired Skills:
- Validate financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures by managing project costs within the approved capital and expense budgets, including trend analysis and appropriate communications and support should budget adjustments be warranted
- Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
- Plan View or other Tools used to manage project resources and financials
- JIRA tool for Epic/Story tracking and status reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
- Manage project resources to meet deliverables, including forming, motivating high-performance, cross-functional Business and IT teams, which may include on and off-shore resources.
- Provide regular communications and project status reports to management, stakeholders, and the project team
- Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
- Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles
- Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
- Manage project related risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, including making recommendations to management on mitigating and / or remediating activities
- Assists in the resolution of conflicts regarding resources, deadlines, and standards
- Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology and compliance standards set by the company to develop and execute project scheduling, including work breakdown structure (WBS), milestones, critical paths, cross-functional dependencies, and overall project schedule
- Provide accurate project expenditure and necessary accruals to the finance team
- Continually update relevant business and IT stakeholders of project status and publish project status reports
- Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned project.
- Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall and integrated delivery plan
- Ensure all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in the business case.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90K to $115K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
