Sr. Risk Manager, Amazon Ads, Partner Enablement

If you are a risk manager with experience in the advertising or digital marketing industry and you have a passion for developing new solutions to complicated problems, this is the perfect role for you. We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to develop and support global Ads risk initiatives by proactively monitoring and mitigating risks that could impact customer trust. In this highly visible role, you will act as a thought leader who recommends and leads risk mitigation strategies with system and product owners across ads and our digital businesses. This role will focus on refining and clarifying our data management policies, building detection mechanisms for bad actors, implementing an audit and investigation framework, and taking action when abuse is observed. You will own defining and influencing product teams to mitigate risks through scalable solutions. Maintaining trust over our ad products and ensuring protection of customer data will ensure that our advertising customers perceive Amazon as the safest and most effective store to advertise their products.

Key job responsibilities

* Build out the Partner Enablement risk program strategy, process, and procedures, from risk identification and auditing through executive reporting.

* Partner with Legal, other Ads risk teams, and Retail risk teams to identify regulatory, compliance, or other risks.

* Provide risk subject matter expertise (SME) and building risk management awareness across partner teams

* Guide senior leadership to balance risk management concerns and risk mitigations with customer experience while influencing product roadmaps.

* Evaluate known risk issues and identifying root causes through end-to-end process evaluations.

* Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner to business partners and executives.

About the team

The Partner Enablement team within Amazon Ads is relatively new, operating like a startup and providing great flexibility in product and technology direction. The team’s mission is to drive advertiser success with Amazon Ads through scaled services and solutions that accelerate partner capabilities and growth and to ensure partner and advertiser (customer) trust in our advertising products and services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience in the digital marketing or advertising industry

* At least five (5) years of risk management or compliance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Strong project/ program management skills

* A passion for managing large organizational initiatives

* The ability to influence and gain buy-in from tech and policy stakeholders, and seamlessly deliver in an ambiguous environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
