Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is looking for an experienced, organized, self-driven, and results-oriented program manager for the AWS Security China and Technology Organization. This organization is responsible for defining and driving innovative enhancements that raise the bar for Information Security for our customers, partners, and employees in China. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects and programs that span multiple stakeholders, including product owners, engineers, operators, compliance specialists, finance and legal partners, and others.
You will build bridges among these stakeholders to communicate visions and objectives, define project plans, align resources and priorities, and drive the delivery of innovative technology solutions to support the AWS business in China that can scale to support the global AWS business. Key job responsibilities
The leader in this role will be required to:
1.) Drive company wide programs to raise the security bar;
2.) Manage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities;
3.) Distill complex and ambiguous technical problems to their core elements;
4.) Translate problems into business requirements to include both tactical and strategic actions;
5.) Identify and engage subject matter experts across multiple organizations and disciplines to define potential solutions;
6.) Scope the cost and impact of potential solutions;
7.) Develop recommendations based upon data;
8.) Craft clear written and verbal communications about the problem, solutions and recommendations for audiences across functions and all levels (including executive leadership); and
9.) Use technical knowledge, data, and strong communication skills to influence partners, stakeholders, and leaders to drive clear and timely decisions.
A day in the life
A Sr. Program Manager (PM) in the AWS China Security and Technology team drives compliance programs across multiple organizations at the working group and executive level. We drive programs across the company to improve compliance and security of our systems within China while at the same time providing security controls to protect our Global Infrastructure.

About the team
The AWS Security China and Technology Organization is responsible for all Information Security related to the AWS China business. Our teams include Regulatory Engagement, Audit & Compliance, Security Operations, and Security Solution Delivery. Our team members collaborate virtually from locations across China, other locations in Asia Pacific, and locations across North America with internal AWS teams as well as external AWS partners, customers, and regulators. We are passionate about delivering industry-leading security solutions for our customers and supporting the AWS business in China, while innovating to create globally-applicable solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 6+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
– Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
– Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
