CGI is looking for Software Developers/Solution Architects experienced in C#, ASP.NET, the .NET framework, and SQL Server who have a passion for solving problems. Future duties and responsibilities
As a Developer, you will be responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module.
Responsible for translating software requirements into workable web-based applications, including writing specifications and designing, building, testing, implementing and supporting applications using .NET programming languages and development tools.
Participate in project planning sessions with technical and functional leads, business analysts and other team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution
Participate in design reviews and provide guidance to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide recommendations to data flow
Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/solve application code-related issues.
Provides hands-on day-to-day coaching and support for junior software team personnel in all phases of a project including aspects such as systems architecture, reuse, development processes, technical direction, mentoring of the team.
Acts independently as a technical advisor on the most specialized phases of system design, programming, implementation, and analysis; leads and participates in major system design, development and implementations.
Capture system requirements and develop specifications, write code according to specifications, Quality review of others’ code or designs, Diagnose and fix bugs in conjunction with QA team
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
12+ years in prior development and delivery experience with .Net, C# Angular 8+, MongoDB, Restful/SOAP web services and Web-based application.
Prior project architect and/or team lead experience.
Must have cloud-based infrastructure and architecture solutions (Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services/Google Cloud Platform).
Expertise with modern, Agile-based application development methodologies and emerging technologies like microservices, API management, web-scale architectures, DevOps engineering, container-based delivery, cloud automation, TDD, BDD, continuous integration (CI), and CD.
Proven success facilitating software design and conceptualization sessions
Demonstrated understanding of relational and NoSQL database models, and “big data” analysis tools and techniques.
Knowledge of Flowable/BPM workflow engine is good to have
Understanding of Apache Kafka event processing platform is a plus
Understanding of ODATA/GraphQL is plus
